Wooden and metal construction forms sit in a dimly lit industrial workshop, surrounded by various tools and materials, with a concrete wall and large overhead beam in the background.

Brink Tower

Mecanoo

The Brink Tower forms a visual and social connection between the dynamic Overhoeks district and the more intimate Van der Pek neighbourhood. Rising 90 meters, the tower features softly rounded corners and stacked collective roof terraces, making it a distinctive presence in the city.

The façade of warm red brick, inspired by the Amsterdam School, is combined with concrete accents and large window openings. Commissioned by Mecanoo, I documented both the fabrication of the prefabricated concrete façade elements and their on-site assembly.

By combining these images, insight is provided into the technical and visual narrative of the design — from production to installation, from detail to urban silhouette. The process imagery makes the construction story tangible and deepens the understanding of the architectural concept.
