Villa Bergen aan Zee is a layered family residence designed by SeARCH. The design reinterprets the original beach house and introduces new volumes that subtly embed themselves within the dune landscape. Materiality, scale and rooflines are carefully tuned to the context.

The spatial organization is complex: three independent studios are arranged around a central living core beneath a single roof. The result is a home that allows both shared living and privacy to coexist.

In addition to photography, video was deliberately chosen for this project. Moving image makes the spatial structure legible and reveals how the house functions and is experienced, bringing the architecture fully to life.
