A modern, spacious interior with large angular concrete staircases, high ceilings, floor-to-ceiling windows, minimalistic furniture, and architectural models on display. Several people are scattered throughout the space.

BIG HQ Copenhagen

Bjarke Ingels Group

For BIG – Bjarke Ingels Group – I created a film of their headquarters in Copenhagen. Pure and unfiltered, showing the building as it truly is. Nothing was staged; my focus was on capturing the atmosphere, energy and everyday experience of the office.

The building is located at the head of a pier in Nordhavn, where the historic harbor transitions into new urban developments. The site acts as a hinge between water, city and industrial heritage.

The sculptural concrete façade elements are composed of stacked horizontal bands. A continuous ribbon of terraces and balconies winds its way from the quay up to the roof terrace. Large glazed surfaces open the interior to its surroundings, offering panoramic views of the city, harbor and sea – creating a strong connection between inside and outside.

The interior, with its split-level floors and sculptural steel staircase, is highly dynamic and recalls the spatial imagination of Piranesi. It is a building that inspires and continues to resonate — a place that demonstrates how architecture can generate energy.
